GARMIN is acknowledged as the world leader in handheld GPS navigation equipment. The models 76CSX, 76CX and 60CX are the most commonly used in airsports and are the main models supported by competition download software.

NOTE that new models such as Colorado and Oregon are not supported by the competition scene and all touch screen models are not usable when wearing gloves and are therefore not recommended.

The Garmin 70 series are the main models used for airsports. The MAP76CSX features a high-sensitivity GPS receiver, barometric altimeter and electronic compass, microSD™ card slot, colour TFT screen and turn-by-turn routing. Full mapping can be easily loaded via USB cable from a PC.
