Advance has since 1988 produced a wide variety of paragliding accessories made to the highest standards.
Functional and designed with the needs of pilots in mind: this is the philosophy behind the ADVANCE clothing and accessories range. Here, too, it is the small yet important details that make the vital difference to user satisfaction both on the ground and in the air.
Charly of Germany has been making accessories for paragliding and hang gliding since the beginning and is well known for great quality innovative products.

The cockpits from ADVANCE are easy to use.
GUARD holds a rescue parachute – CARRY stores accessories or ballast; both have a flight panel with transparent cover.

The cockpit can hold a ballast bag containing up to seven litres of water.

The specifications for the new model therefore required that it be robust, warm and practical. The result is a product that meets these needs completely, and incorporates a number of well-designed details.
Three Climate Zones
Body Mapping™ is the current trendy phrase for sports clothing that works. This means that textiles have been specifically developed for the different requirements in various areas. The results are materials which adjust themselves according to temperature (eg. Thermore), or combinations of sophisticated material mixes. We first introduced this principle with our Thermore Jacket, and now use it in the various fabrics to meet the extremely differing demands of the Flying Suit.
- Additional insulation at the extreme exposed places such as knees, wrists and neck.
- Freedom of movement and ventilation at the back.
- Air circulation, which also needs to be appropriately provided in flight.
- Arm and leg lengths adapted to the special needs of paraglider flight.

SPEED ARMS RRP AUD$90
The ADVANCE Speedarms keep the jacket or flying suit underneath perfectly smooth and close to the body, while retaining maximum freedom of movement. A high Lycra content guarantees very good elasticity, perfect fit and shape stability. A central zip makes the ADVANCE Speedarms easy to put on.
They come in two sizes: S/M for pilots up to 180 cm; L/XL for pilots from 175 cm in height.

The ADVANCE speedsystem can be used with any glider or harness on the market.
The robust speedbar is easy to reach, thanks to the ergonomic angle of its steel cable. Delivered with speedbar, cable, lines and quick links.
STUBAI "POWERFLY" CARABINERS RRP AUD$35ea
The Powerfly carabiner is approved by the DHV to be used with solo and tandem paragliders.
The Powerfly carabiner needs to be changed after 1,500 hours in flight. (500 hours for Parafly aluminium carabiners.
The carabiner must not be used and must be replaced if:
- the gate will not close or secure itself on its own
- there is evidence of damage (cracks, distortion etc) which indicates potential failures
- the carabiner has been overheated or overloaded
- the total flight time of 1,500 hours has been exceeded
SEAT BOARDS RRP AUD$55 (std) and $120 (carbon)
The seatboard is a very important part for the comfort of the harness.
All ADVANCE harnesses are delivered with a laminated heavy duty wood panel. For pilots who prefer a light harness we offer a carbon panel as an option. This panel should not be used for any acro manoeuvres.
The weight of the carbon board is between 250g (S) and 290g (L).
EASYPACK 2 AUD$220
The EASYPACK 2 is a state-of-the-art paraglider backpack, which excels through its high carrying comfort, slender shape and outstanding design. Its trapezoid back design allows for good packing and easy closing even for bulky harnesses with foam protectors.
The EASYPACK 2 sits perfectly on the back due to its slender and compact shape. The adjustable hip strap with a tightening buckle each side gives the backpack the best hold-up grip, and the shaped shoulder straps spread the weight evenly on the shoulders.
The trapezoid back shape gives the EASYPACK 2 the volume where you need it, namely in the small of the back, where the main support strap is widest and thickest. An internal compression strap in the same place also allows the harness foam protector to be compressed effectively, and this works especially well with the ADVANCE SUCCESS 2 and IMPRESS 2 harnesses. The main zip can then easily be closed without a struggle.
